Royal United Hospital Bath - 2023
Charlotte is the Artist in Residence at the Royal United Hospital Bath delivering weekly 'pARTicipate' workshops for patients of all ages. This work is overseen by Art at the Heart, the highly regarded arts programme at the RUH.
August 2023 - Art at the Heart installed 7 new pieces of artwork with colourful models made by patients in workshops with Charlotte. Detailed scenes with the themes of Under the Sea, Enchanted Forest, Jungle, Space and Dinosaurs brighten up the Children's Ward corridor.
Charlotte has designed a variety of projects as art bags with materials and accompanying videos with virtual workshops for patients to enjoy. This project started during the pandemic and has continued into 2023 and still proving to be very popular.
Bristol Chidren's Hospital 2023
Charlotte has been running regular creative session at Bristol Children's Hospital since 2016. Workshops take place the Play Centre, the Hospital Schoolroom and on the Adolescent Ward. Charlotte also oversees the making and installation of work for the Gallery in the Hospital foyer.
Since '20-'21 Charlotte has been providing videos and art packs as part of the Hospital's virtual arts programme funded by the Grand Appeal Charity.
Creative Design & Crafts
Charlotte works as a lead designer for Staedtler UK, primarily with FIMO modelling materials on ideas, new products and inspirational project ideas. Recent work has been with FIMO Leather Effect which was launched in 2019, this included a series of successful workshops at the Handmade Festival 2019 and presentation for The Craft Store / Hochanda TV channel.
Charlotte designs for the Baker Ross catalogue and Creative Station online. Projects include educational ideas for children, teachers and adults.
Other work is for Creative Steps magazine, Future publishig, Pearson, Immediate Media.
Arts in Health
Charlotte has worked with Piam Brown Ward, Wessex Regional Children's Cancer Centre, the Teenage Cancer Trust and the Carer's Trust to engage children and teenagers in creative activities.
Also as an associate artist for GOSH Arts the arts programme at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
